David’s bridal wouldn’t lose another customer if they handled the situation professionally. I will never go there again.

I had given my dress to David�s Bridal for cleaning after my marriage. I took it there on the 1st of Nov 2004. They told me that it would take two weeks that was fine with me as I was not in hurry. I got a call approx. two weeks later saying that they had done the cleaning and I could pick it up. So I went the very next day.
I had paid for the cleaning in advance only. They also took advance only now I came to know why, it was because they had a no refund policy. I opened the packing in the shop itself to check if everything was done. I was shocked to see my dress in the same condition as it was before I could give it there for cleaning. They said that they would try and do more spot cleaning. Which I feel should have been done before only.

The cleaner began to remove the stains and dirt from the dress. I found it really weird, they keep the dress for 2 weeks then call you and make you watch them cleaning the dress while you wait. I did not know they would charge me for that. When I when to the front of the store I was told to talk to the store manager. I spoke to the asst. manager. I told her I wanted a refund.
She told me that David�s Bridal can�t guarantee that all stains can be removed. What she did not understand was that the cleaner was removing the stains like right now. So I asked her why this couldn�t be done the first time. I believe the right answer would be that NO ONE TOUCHED the dress for two weeks. She kept repeating her policy.
I couldn�t bare her nonsense anymore and raised my voice and spoke rudely because I was frustrated to the core. Then she went and spoke to the manager and my money was refunded. If they would have handled the situation a little more professionally, they wouldn�t have lost yet another customer.
