ReviewStream.com- Don't Try It
Company: ReviewStream.com
Unknown, United States
URL: http://www.reviewstream.com/
For several years, I've made pocket change writing for various internet companies. ReviewStream.com is a scam. The web site says that you can make money writing reviews about anything at all. The stated pay rate is very low: $1.50 per review with a $50 minimum payout. I thought I'd try it anyway.
The web site gives no clue as to the physical location of the business. The US Better Business Bureau has no record of them. The contact e-mail address is reviewstream@yahoo.com.
The web site says that it takes "up to 72 hours" to review writers' submissions, at which point the writer will receive an e-mail telling if submission has met the criteria for publication. The criteria are not listed on the web site. I read some of the published reviews. Many are not well-written.
I submitted 9 reviews over a period of 6 days without response. When I e-mailed the company, the answer was in broken English saying that they were in the process of updating software. The next day, I started getting e-mails rejecting all but 2 of the 9 reviews I'd written. The stated reason was that I needed to be more specific. I'm not sure what these ReviewStream people are up to besides wasting my time, but I advise everyone else to skip it. I am including one of the reviews rejected because I needed to be more specific so that you can be the judge.
Pantene Pro-V Restoratives Frizz Control Ultra Smoothing Balm
I am past 50 years old and have struggled with fine, frizzy hair ever since I was old enough to care about my appearance. In my teens, I tried ironing it with a flat iron, the kind people use to iron clothes. I tried huge hair rollers. I bought home hair straightener kits filled with chemicals.
As I aged, my hair got thinner and drier, making the problem even worse. In the past 5 years, I've tried a variety of shampoos, conditioners, gels, pomades, and silicones. Shampoos and conditioners seem to have limited effect. Gels left my hair looking stuck down. Pomades left my hair looking greasy. While silicones seemed the most effective, it was always hard to get the right amount. Too little and my hair would frizz over time and too much left it looking greasy, weighed down and darker in color. No matter what I tried, if the weather was humid, I would have "a BIG hair day."
About a week ago, I tried Pantene Pro-V Restoratives Frizz Control Ultra Smoothing Balm. It is unlike anything I've ever used before and I'm hooked on it. It's the best frizz treatment ever!
It comes in a 3.5-ounce container with a pump on top for about $6. There is a light, slightly fruity scent that would not interfere with perfume. The product looks creamy like hand cream, but it doesn't feel like that at all. It feels almost like a foam with a very light texture. Directions say to work the balm through damp hair and style as usual or just let it dry on its own.
What wonders this product has done for my hair! No matter what the weather, it lasts all day and into the next. It leaves my hair light and shiny, not weighed down at all. It doesn't hold my hair still like a gel. It leaves my hair loose and natural looking. My hair looks about four inches longer when this product is in it because all that frizz is relaxed into long, beautiful tresses. I am so pleased with Pantene Pro-V Restoratives Frizz Control Ultra Smoothing Balm that I can hardly wait to try the rest of the Restoratives product line.

Just for your guide - USA is not the only country in the world. There are several more ) ReviewStream.com is not a US based company and sure it will be hard to find any records in any US Bureau. And what's the problem with the email address ? Probably Yahoo.com became not reputable company in US, but there spam filters are working great.

You have to be more attentive.
"The ITEM is not specific enough" was written in the rejection email you received. Not the review, but the item by itself. We have the right to decide what items we prefer and you have the right to publish your review elsewhere.
Anyway, please feel free to submit more reviews.
Don't forget to recommend ReviewStream.com to your friends.

Yes, some of us "up here" realize that New Zealand is a country, too, and a beautiful one at that! It is wonderful that ReviewStream staff took the trouble to comment here.
Had my first review been rejected, instead of getting mad, I would have taken the comment to heart, rewritten the review and submitted it again before leaping to the conclusion that the program was a scam.
Of course, I write reviews first because I love to write and then if there is some pocket change to be had, fine. If I were writing about a hair product, however, I would mention the hair product I was reviewing in the first paragraph and save the personal issues for later.
Readers would like to know that such a product works on all kinds of hair, not just your particular type, don't you see?
Of course your review will undoubtedly help ReviewStream more than it hurts them, and that is good, but at least it opens up a dialog.
My first review was acceptable within just a few days, but I only submitted one review to test the waters, so to speak, and waited to see if they would like it before throwing more at them. Even if they only pay $2, I try to do my best, and I will certainly recommend ReviewStream to my friends.
