need help to report and obtain funds from scam - winning money and tickets

I like I am sure other people recieved a letter saying I won 45,000 dollars plus 2 tickets to the bahamas.

The company called Prudent Financial Management sent me a check that looked to be real for $2,800.00. I was to cash it and then send a money order to pay for the taxes on the large amount of $2,655.00.

I found out today that the check was counterfeit and that now I owed the bank the amount of money of $2,800.00.

I just lost my job, I am a single mom of 3 kids with no money and I really could have used that money to get out of the hole that I am.

I need help is there anyway to arrest these people or get our money back for pain and suffering? If anyone out there knows or could point me in the right direction I would be greatly appreciated.
