This company and its employees are evil and will be dealt with as seen throughout this report. Whatever you do, stay away from these devils.
If the Budget Rent you live near is an airport location, they will not pick you up. Guaranteed the next nearest one will cost more. If you call for a quote from the same office in the same day more than once, you will get different prices. Those prices will always be more than their online offer. If you do get a pick up it will be at their convenience. Don't lock the key in the car. They won't understand that you no longer can drive the car because you don't have the key and they will try to get you to go to another location to pick up a new key. For all their offer of transportation, they were very reluctant to go get the key themselves or to even offer a ride to where the car was located. To rebut another complaint, they don't let you know that there is a mileage limit if you go out of state. Even that policy doesn't make sense. I think their policy should just be a mileage limit price and an unlimited mileage rate no matter where you decide to go.

Are you from this planet? What are you on, cause it looks like a great escape from the real world!! Let me explain how the real world works:
1. Rental locations were set up @ Airports for the convenience of the travelling public, not suburbia, that is why they have "DOWNTOWN" locations. Apt locations make up 40% of rental car business so they are always busy renting cars, not driving around suburbia.
2.The market is extremely competetive, and the competition is checked regularly, it makes good business sense to move with the market, or you lose money. If the competitors change, so will they. This is why you can RESERVE, i'll say it again RESERVE a vehicle, it RESERVES the price too (funny that, eh?) Do you check the price of shares on the stock market then a week later or even an hour later expect when you have decided you want them that they will still be the same price?? Yeah RIGHT!! Its business, same with airline tickets, they change regularly it all comes down to, competitors and supply & demand. SIMPLE. You even said it "ONLINE OFFER" yes its an "ONLINE OFFER" not "OVER-PHONE OFFER" as with airlines and others, offers are only avail online as they havent had the expense of paying staff in a call centre to book your car, so thus it will be chaeper for you.
3.YOU LOCKED THE KEYS IN THE CAR NOT BUDGET, YOU SHOULD TAKE SOME RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OWN FOOLISHNESS!!They will usually get the spares to u via taxi/courier at your expense, why should they pay, it was after all you that did it. SO you are also saying that they should stop answering calls, serving customers and leave the office to find wher your car is, then if you were in the office you would complain about lack of staff because you had 'pre booked' and you shouldn't have to wait while John Doe is getting driven to the car he locked they keys in!(just imagine 5 cutomers wanting staff to bring them keys NOW and it could happen, they office would close!)Would you like the red carpet too?? They have roadside assist that will come to you and charge you to get into the car, someone again has to pay for this, so why not you as you were tha cause! As some vehicles go one way between cities/locations, the keys will be where the car originated so they may not even have spares.
5. READ WHAT YOU SIGN, IT IS CLEARLY STATED ON THE CONTRACT ABOUT FREE MILEAGE ETC.they have limits for your safety, ie if you on your way to Somewhereville via the back road to nowhere, how will they be able to get help to you if something goes wrong?? Roadsise assist does not cover every inch of the country it impossible! Think about it.......
YOU HAVE TOO MUCH TIME ON YOUR HANDS BUDDY to waste time WHINING about this stuff.
