I recently made hotel accommodations at the Charleston Riverview Hotel through Hotels.com. I was told that the hotel was three star and would serve all my needs. But the picture out there was something else. Booking this place was the biggest mistake. I trust hotel.com was a mistake. When I reached, The Charleston Riverview Hotel I found that there was no wash towels, the chair in the room was filthy, the tub was filthy and there was not remote for the TV. I lodge a complaint with the hotel; however, they informed me that I had to lodge a complaint with Hotels.com. So I did. The way the complaint system works with Hotels.com is that they contact the hotel and determine what happened. When this occurred the Charleston Riverview Hotel stated that nothing occurred and Hotels.com sided with the hotel in lieu of the customer. This is not fair at all. I am tired of companies taking advantage of the consumer. This is becoming a normal business practice. Why do we as consumer allow this to happen? I am posting this matter in the scam club and side by side I am also filing the complaint against them. Beware of this site. Terrance Los Angeles CA,United States
